A forklift to be a successful model should be built strong to last the working environments for many hours of use. It should be able to transport loads effectively and quickly as well. The equipment must also be comfortable and ergonomically correct for the operator.
The Yale powertrain is rugged and reliable. It needs to be strong enough to continually deliver incredible durability through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It offers state-of-the-art clutch packs along with extremely tough shafts and strong gears. The drive, steer axle, transmission and engine are all isolated to reduce noise and vibration inside of the operator's compartment.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
The GM Gas and Mazda LP Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These machinery provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which requires minimal repair or adjustment. These types of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that lessen wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Both the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engine offer a higher compression ratio leading to enhanced torque. Amazing fuel consumption is provided by effective fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The standard Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears which are 15% stronger and shafts which maximize resistance to rough driving. The durable clutch packs provide 3 times the life of preceding packs. Last of all, there is electronic inching available which automatically adjusts so as to reduce maintenance requirements by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to eliminate shock loading, increase durability and extend the life of the tires. Additionally, the auto deceleration feature lessens break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
Made for added strength, the drive axle features its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This particular part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are practically maintenance free and completely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to protect the steer cylinder from damage and debris. It has fixed-length tie rods to add extra stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. As well, cast ductile iron axle reduces wear and increases toughness.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included lots of ergonomic features and safety features. These kinds of machines would handle tough environments, while keeping the operator comfortable and safe for the length of their shift.
