Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck providing versatility and great height. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard forklifts aren't able to move the load towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is necessary.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It comes with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform which is meant to hoist staff is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a chain or strap is used to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
