Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A type of equipment that can carry loads that are roughly 30,000 lbs is a forklift. A forklift is also referred to as a counterbalance. Despite being big and sturdy, these industrial machines still carry the possible chance of accident or crash. To be able to be very safe, be certain to have operators put on the correct seat belt in the forklift and make sure that up to standard safety features are on board. People know that seat belts can save lives in the event of an accident.
Three-Point Seat Belt
Three-point seat belts could extend over the lap and across the upper body. These types of belts provide an extra safety degree by protecting your body. They are offered in both bench-seat and buckle-seat kinds. The 3-point seat belts are available in either non-retractable or retractable styles.
Most modern vehicles available offer retractable seat belts. Though non-retractable types increase safety, retractable kinds offer much more comfort. It is not possible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
Two-point lap belts are those which extend over the lower part of the body. The majority of lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The circuit-closed seat belts are the type which force forklift operators to put on a seat belt. These seat belts have a micro-switch attached that makes an alarm sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band kinds.
