Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in warehouse and shipping operations. Also known as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used in order to move products and supplies around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump which could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one person.
Pallet trucks should be operated carefully to avoid loss of control while raising heavy loads. Equipment must be inspected before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make certain that the handle can smoothly turn. The pallet must be stacked carefully to be able to guarantee that nothing will fall off during transportation.
To be able to release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever located on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks could then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks should be in the middle to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is dangerous to push the pallet in front of you because the momentum could cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
