Used Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts Oxnard

Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts
Powered lift trucks known as forklifts are used in almost every industry to move heavy products and materials. The lift truck is a really tough and reliable equipment which has become important tools in many construction and warehouse environments. Forklift models differ depending on the type of work setting and the type of fuel that is utilized to power the lift truck.

Electricity
Electric forklifts are great for work sites which have limited ventilation since they make no exhaust fumes and are fairly quiet. They are designed to be powered by large, industrial-strength batteries. Because the electric lift truck batteries should be charging, the worksite would require a charging station. The batteries are durable and can be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they have to be replaced. The charging station should be located in a ventilated area and include an acid spill kit and an emergency eyewash station.

Propane
Forklifts powered by liquid propane have several advantages over electric and diesel powered machinery making them quite common in industrial and warehouse environments. Propane engines are much cleaner compared to diesel-powered units. There is no down time needed to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost of electricity is more compared to the cost of propane. A lift truck propane tank could be refueled quickly and easily by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Typically an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling very safe and efficient.

Gasoline and Gas
Gasoline and Diesel forklifts are the equipment of choice for outdoor applications and rough terrain. They are commonly found on lumber yards and construction sites. Their disadvantages comprise relatively high maintenance requirements, odorous exhaust and relatively high fuel costs. Their advantages comprise dependability in tough conditions and a longer lifespan compared to other units. Gasoline and diesel units should be refueled at a supply station on site that meets health and safety regulations.
