Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Bi-Energy and Genie DC machines produced by Terex provide quiet and emission-free operation in the most sensitive work applications. For instance, in industrial settings where the machinery must travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and advantages of a diesel fueled generator with a 48 Volt DC equipment.
Several of the key features provided by this combination consist of up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing provided by most units, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
Proportional lift controls and drive controls also offer smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. The 48V DC electric drive system provides quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for particular tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates ninety degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie machines by Terex are ideal for both outdoor and indoor construction applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine extreme lifting versatility and over, up and out positioning capabilities. The outreach offered by this model is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on the majority of models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are great for maneuvering in confined locations. Furthermore, they offer excellent torque, terrain and grade maneuverability and utmost power. The diesel engines are quiet in general as well. The majority of models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on uneven and rough surfaces.
High ground clearance is offered in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
