The Carriage
The carriage is similar to a conventional forklift since the lifting attachment could be tilted backwards and forwards from its horizontal. The tilt which is possible on this equipment exceeds more than that of the vertical masts. There are different kinds of lifting attachments available, and this positioning ability makes them as efficient as possible.
Nearly all telehandlers have the capability of tilting to a position that is actually parallel to the ground. Some units have rotating carriages as well. This enables the operator to radially adjust the lifting attachment. This translates to the load being capable of being tilted backwards and forwards, as well as side to side.
Load Capacity
Telehandlers have a load capacity rather similar to that of the vertical mast unit. The model's overall capacity would be dependent on things such as: boom angle and extension, whether the unit is lifting on outriggers or on rubber tires, and the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable. Also, which lifting attachment plays an important part, as does the wind, the grade the machinery is operating on and so on. All of these specifics can be changing regularly and this gives the operator a lot more information to take into account.
Normally, telehandlers have some load charts available in order for the operator to reference so they could determine the load capacity of a particular lift. Depending on the configuration of the boom and the unit in particular, the load capacity could differ by thousands of pounds all together.
